Personal requirements

Customer must present:

- a driving license valid for at least 1 year;

- a passport/ID with permanent address;

- a registered address in Bulgaria;

The minimum required age is 21 years.

Third party liability

All rented vehicles are covered for Third party liability according to the Bulgarian law.

The Customert is obliged:

a/ to use the vehicle properly and to take good care of it;

b/ NOT TO USE the vehicle: for transportation of passengers or goods against payment; in rallies, test drives, trainings etc; to propel or tow other vehicles, trailers or similar as well as not to drive the vehicle along broken ground;:

c/ NOT TO DRIVE the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and in violence of the Road law and it’s Regulations and/or other law restrictions;

d/ NOT TO: rerent the vehicle or to give it to persons other than the preliminary authorized by the Lessor in the rental agreement; cross the Bulgarian borders without the specific written permission of the Lessor;

e/ when parking the vehicle to take the keys and the registration certificate along with him/her;

f/ in case of damage, accident, theft of parts and/or the whole vehicle as well as any other violation towards the vehicle, the Renter must inform the Lessor and the Insurance company immediately, but not later that 12 hours; to undertake all necessary actions to limit the damages and protect the rented vehicle;

Liability of Renter

In case of damage to, loss or theft of keys, remote control, documents and/or part of the vehicle or the whole vehicle, including fire or breakage of glass, as well as damages to the interior, Renter shall, irrespectively of his or the driver’s fault, pay CarRent the amount of all resulting loss and expenses, including compensation for loss of revenue based on the daily charge, until the fully replacement or recovery of the vehicle.

The given rates include Renter’s liability towards damages and losses (DLL), limited to a Non-Waivable Excess for Grps. A, B and K up to 150 € and for the rest up to 250 €. Renter’s liability can be waived for damaged tires and wheel rims by paying an additional daily fee “Damage & Loss Waiver” (DLW) of 5 € for Grps. A, B and K, and 8 € for all other groups.

Under no circumstances the Renter’s liability can be waived or limited for loss of keys or documents or damages underneath the vehicle, which the insurance does not cover.

In case of theft of keys, documents or the total vehicle Renter is obliged to report the theft to the Police and to present to CarRent the issued receipt. Otherwise Renter shall pay to CarRent compensation for loss of revenue until the full recovery of the vehicle.

Renter is personally and fully responsible for damages, caused by him intentionally or through his gross negligence to the vehicle and/or third parties.

Accidents, Thefts etc.

In case of an accident with the rented vehicle Renter shall call Traffic Police and require a Protocol for the accident and forward it to CarRent. Otherwise the Renter is fully responsible for damages to the car and/or to third parties even if “Damages and Loss” fee is accepted.

Termination of the Rent

If the Renter likes to prolong the rental, he/she shall inform CarRent about it not less than 24 hours before its termination. If possible, CarRent will prolong the rent.

If the Renter violates the above obligation and continues to drive the vehicle without CarRent's agreement, he/she shall be fully liable and legally responsible for illegal appropriation of the vehicle.
